I am also very disappointed with Adobe decision. But, it isn’t the first time.
Just the tip. There is a good reader to FXL ePUB for Android. Gitden Reader

I know it isn’t the n1 information stop you’d want but I try to post what I can.
I’ve proposed the DPS managers to use a “à la carte” formula where you get 1 basic license and then just choose which extra features you need. And then pay per feature you need. Anyway it didn’t stick.

Anyway, don’t worry about the downloads. I’m sure you heard Adobe is thinking of dropping that whole cost altogether. I haven’t written anything about this yet because there isn’t any clear information. And I don’t want to jump the gun or write anything that’s inaccurate.

I had a dream: An Adobe DPS Professional Account for lets say €1000 including 1000 downloads. This would be THE solution for small guys too. Including the mentioned commercial back-end like push, analytics and so on. But no direct entitlements and the other features of the Enterprise solution.
As far as I know there is still no pricing available. To bad…
Our company works with an Adobe DPS Professional account

They didnt want the little guys they want the puplisher houses.

But they dont understand, the little guys are alle techys and want to learn with the tools they knew like Indesign and their dps plugin.

Now iam didnt learn the export with the plugin so i didnt work as freelancer for big publishing companies. So what, in short term there are history.

For us the CC Acount with one free App it was a unique selling point – now i want a discount of my monthly fee.

I’ve tried to persuade my clients to consider FXL ePub, but they just don’t want to know.
I feel Adobe have not considered the freelancer or small business person and so today I cancelled my subscription to the Creative Cloud. I came to this decision owing to the fact that I have had over 12 months problems with InDesign. I even upgraded my hardware to improve things, but that didn’t work, so the dropping of DPS Single Edition was the last straw.
